WSA Asian Road Show at the Global ICT Summit The first WSA Asian Road Show Event will be held in the framework of the Global ICT Summit at Cyberport Hong Kong from 11 to 15 May 2004. The main topic will be "From Adversity to Success - The World's Best e-Content & e-Creativity Experience".
As of today, ICT Ministers from Bangladesh, China, Ecuador, Kenya, and Tanzania, a Ministry Secretaries from India and Brazil, and over forty further high level speakers from 23 countries have confirmed to attend and speak at the Summit. With a shared vision to overcoming the global digital divide, this international event is expected to bring together 400 ICT experts and professionals from all over the world to showcase and discuss the world’s best practice examples of quality e-content and creativity, selected in the WSA 2003, as well as to discuss and exchange knowledge and ideas that will shape the future of global ICT development and support bridging the digital divide.
The event will also provide a unique platform in the promotion of investment and creation of business opportunities. The ICT Summit is co-hosted by the World Summit Award (WSA), The Global Alliance for Bridging the Digital Divide (GABDD) - a WSA Task Force, Internet Professionals Association (iProA), The World Wide Web Consortium Hong Kong (W3C HK), Hong Kong Cyberport, and Hong Kong General Chamber of Commerce (HKGCC).
